The Backstory

I Didn't Start In Marketing. I Started In Finance.

My operational philosophy wasn't built in a creative department. It was built on a balance sheet.

It was at Sony where everything clicked.

As a Financial Analyst and Controller, I helped build Sony's Global Profitability Framework, work that was cited in the company's annual report. I was trained extensively in Six Sigma.

That is where I learned that "quality" isn't a vibe. It is a mathematical certainty you build into a process.

I took that financial discipline into the marketing world, running Search for Sony's e-commerce division. I managed an 8-figure budget alongside Ogilvy and drove $300M in revenue.

When I eventually moved to the agency world, scaling Essence of Email from 12 to 50 employees, I applied that same enterprise-grade rigor. I didn't guess where the problems were. I measured them.

I am like a border collie. I need to organize things.

A border collie does not decide to herd sheep. It just does. You put one near a flock and something takes over. I have been like that my whole career. Get me into a company with twenty people pulling in different directions and I cannot help myself. I start seeing the system underneath the chaos. I start wanting to fix it.

When I step into an agency, I don't look for the "strategy." I look for the friction. I look for the frantic 11 PM Slack messages. I look for the "hero" employee who is secretly fixing everyone else's work.

I love the work most founders hate. I love digging into the project management tool and realizing nobody knows what "done" actually looks like. I don't just write a report about it. I fix it. I build the systems that let you hire people and put them on top of a process that actually works.
